Buoy Resiling

I come here alone
To think
To talk to you
Walking the distance
Shouldering the storm
Each step journals
Heart’s desire break
Questions
Drops reverberate in the waves
Mine or yours?
You meet me here
Like a chowder
Knit scarf
You comfort me
Rushing to embrace me
It is what it is
Good in its being
Knowing
I resile
Buoy in the storm

Inspired by One Shoot Photography Challenge. I love the beach on a rainy day. Perfect time for solitude and thinking.

  2. I can feel the buoy's essence floating on the waters... awaiting the warmth of the sun from beyond the clouds. Nice.

  4. To echo what Claudia just said, very nice take. "Each step journals /
    Heart’s desire break"
Reminds me of the writing process too and what authors go through. Thanks for participating today! Cheers :)

  7. Clean and extremely effective, full of well-crafted symbols and images. One of the best I've read in a week of reading hundreds of poems. Thanks also for introducing me to the word resile.

  12. Comforting somehow, like a rainy fall day. Drops reverberate - both mine and yours.
